Analysis of Sintered Wicked Heat Pipes for Space-Constrained Multiple Component Cooling

Contemporary electronic cooling applications can feature complex heat pipe configurations with multiple sources (MHSs) and one or more bends in various locations to meet physical constraints. It is typically understood that implementing a bend adding MHS was tested for straight single source (SHS) degrade thermal performance. However, the severity of combining two phenomena effects changing location an are unknown. In this context, study presents experimental investigation performance four 400-mm-long, 6-mm-diameter, cylindrical copper sintered pipes, where small, heated saddles configured as evaporators: SHS, MHS, increasing angle from 0° 90°, 90° moved along axis.
